1) is there anything you would change?
2) which wotherboard would you choose?
3) do i need any SATA cables or anything of that nature?
4) do i need a XP-90 or Zalman 7000b?
5) thanks for looking

I think the whole thing looks pretty good. If the MOBO includes SATA cables don't worry about it. The other nice thing would to look to see if the PSU supports SATA plugs. However, I think it does.

I would definitely go with the MSI since you're not overclocking. The DFI board is basically made for overclocking. The MSI will give you a pretty nice overclock, and it has LOTS of great features.

If not overclocking I would definately change the mobo, it's an overclockers board period. And I would look for a deal on a 2.4ghz 3800+ newcastle, it will be a little faster at stock speeds than the 2.2ghz 3700+ at most things and you can find it less than $340. You picked the perfect O/C combo, but you state absolutely no overclocking?😕

2) which wotherboard would you choose?
If not overclocking get one of the NF4 from Epox,Chaintech,MSI,ECS,ect... for $100 or less. They all perform well at stock speeds

3) do i need any SATA cables or anything of that nature?
They should be included with the mobo

4) do i need a XP-90 or Zalman 7000b?
No, the stock HSF works well at stock speeds, and even moderate overclocks

5) thanks for looking

there is a choice between the mobos i dont think you say it but it says neo4 platium OR ultra-d thanks for the poniters

it doesnt have firewire on the I/O panel and thats something i need and want. the more firewire i have the better so i dont have to unplug and plug in other things. i have a pci firwire card too

dfi nforce 4 boards highly recommend 480watts with native 24 pin power cord. look into fortron blue storm 500watts ocz modstream or power stream. if you like antec look into those or enermax.

thats a good sign dude, means its a nice set up.

really, it looks nice. the toss up is between the mobos, thats your call as it seems you've done your homework.

there was some thing that anand just revised in his review of the msi nf4s though, let me take a look

edit--here it is down the bottom, but its vague to say the least.

You can definitely save money on the motherboard and bump up your video a bit, if you're not overclocking then you really are better off with an Asus or MSI board.
