heh - this guy has actually been pretty scummy in a couple of his "dozen" locations. He'd have a business partner get license and approval for something else and then build one of his Love Shack stores at that location instead.
There's one down the road from my new house in fact. It had its opening weekend on my wedding day, coincidently enough. I met up with my family and friends at an IHOP and we were sitting there eating breakfast when all these people with signs started walking by. We were trying to figure out what was going on and it turned out there was a large contingent of people in my area protesting outside this newly opened Love Shack. They would even take pictures of people going in and out of the store hoping to embarrass them.
I have to kind of laugh about it now because you can drive by the store now some 5 years later and see its sign say stuff like "Free vibes for the ladies with any purchase."
(WSB Radio) -- The owner of a chain of adult novelty stores is suing Fulton County because they won't allow him to open a porn superstore in John's Creek.
John Cornetta, who operates a dozen "Love Shack" locations in metro Atlanta, says the county's actions violate his civil rights. He says county officials have told him, off the record, that because of who he is and what he sells, he will never be granted a business license.
Cornetta hopes to open the nation's largest adult video/novelty store in a 10,000 square foot building he's purchased at the intersection of Jones Bridge and State Bridge roads.
