Proposed legislation to toughen penalties for buying illegal satellite services (in Canada)

The Canadian Association of Broadcasters estimates it loses $400 million a year from people buying services from American satellite TV providers.

What incredible smugness. They act as if it's their money to lose! This is the crux of the argument the big, bloated and lazy Canadian monopolies use to excuse them from having to be competitive in any way. "But the Americans would smash us to pieces!!!" WELL IF YOU OFFERED COMPETITIVE QUALITY AND SELECTION, MAYBE YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT! :|
 
They're just like RIAA. They claim that is someone is buying US signals that's sales they'd automatically be losing... or people with Pirate cards getting ppv for free is automaticaly lost $$$.

You guys suck and charge too much! Get with the times!
