Proposal: An ATOT cookbook

I'll bite....

chicken, artichokes, sliced black olives, white wine, butter, flour, capers, two lemons, pasta of your choice (handmade), deep sautee pan.

make pasta, rest

butter in pan, don't burn, medium heat...tendorize chicked breasts with salt/pepper, coat with flour
sautee quickly untill 1/2 done, remove.
heat pan to hot, deglaze with one lemon stirring constantly, add white wine, reduce to high simmer
add artichokes and capers...sautee for 3 minutes
return chick to pan, covered, simmer for a few minutes (5).
Add olives and simmer for a few minutes.
remove from burner and toss with fresh pasta returning to heat for no more than 1 minute along with fresh parsley.

great recipe that can be perfected with practice. I didn't include measurements because one can play with it...almost no such thing as too much butter.

Macaroni and cheese:

Ingredients: Kraft macaroni and cheese box

Bring water in a saucepan to boil. Add noodles. Add cheese. Eat.

Seriously, I'll get my brother to post some stuff. He's going to be a student at the Culinary Institue of America not far from now...

That does sound good...If you were interested, you wouldn't have to post the recipe right now, just say that you're interested.

meh, I'm lit and that's my specialty.

easy to make but only worth it with homemade pasta and fresh herbs.

i'd be interested

a word doc wouldn't be too bad...but a website would be much better

That's a good idea, easier access and such. So we have three people at the moment, I'll contribute two or 3, when I get some time to type them out.

Fried Rice, Nice and easy

Rice, eggs, scallions, peas, carrots, chinese sausage(precooked)

-Precook rice, set aside, preferably as dry as possible. Don't use sticky rice
-Beat eggs, add in abour 2 strands of scallions, choped. Add salt
-Heat oil in stiryfry pan
-Add eggs (do it scrambled style) then put back into egg bowl
-Add rice and peas and carrots
-Add sausage
-Readd eggs
-Put in pepper and soysauce.

Serve =)

The chinese sausage can be replaced with almost any kind of meat. ive had fried rice with hotdog meat, hamburger meat, spam. of course you can always go w/ the usually pork, chicken or beef. Gotta precook that.

Niraj that's an awesome idea, maybe someone can make some sort of app where it'll parse a database and you can search for recipes in there

I would like a section geared towards dorm living/microwave cooking. I get tired of eating out and cafeteria food.

What do you guys think? It'd be a word doc, freely distributed, with due credit given for each individual recipe.

Show your skills!
Repost!

I came up with this idea last year. Except I proposed a website to hold all the recipes.
