:confused: Above card on an Epox 7KXA w/ 750 Athlon and 384 megs Apacer PC133.
UT will only allow res of 12x10 in hardware mode and gets 25+ - fps. If I switch to software mode and set res to 16x12 I get 37+ fps. So I tried 19x14 by the same method and got 35+ fps and it performed better! This is w/ every thing turned on. I'm using Hercules driver 6.35, the 7 driver didn't perform well. I'm using the Herc dr for the TV out.
Any ideas??? This is completely backwards and I've been trying to figuer this out for sometime now.

Thanx Nova

I don't know about performance but UT only allows a fixed number of resolutions. NVIDIA drivers has support for a ton of resolutions, more than UT can handle. So UT chooses the first 7 resolutions I think which is why it stops at 12x10 in hardware mode.

It took me all of about 2 seconds to figure out how to run UT 1600 x 1200 x 32 on a GF2. Just edit the UT.ini file.

[WinDrv.WindowsClient]
WindowedViewportX=640
WindowedViewportY=480
WindowedColorBits=32
FullscreenViewportX=1600
FullscreenViewportY=1200
FullscreenColorBits=32

Works fine

The point I was trying to make; when I drop the res fps goes down. When I raise the res fps goes up and performance increases. In other words @ 19x14 it performes better than @ 16x12 which performs better than @ 12x10. This is compleatley backwards, it's supposed to be the other way around. 12x10 and lower is unplayable.
