Okay, so I just got my Prophet 4500 out of the box, installed it, and booted up. Fine. I installed the latest drivers (not from the installation CD, but from PowerVR... v7.114). Problems...

First, it takes FOREVER to finish booting up. I have a 1.2GHz machine with 512MB DDR RAM. It shouldn't take FIVE MINUTES for the hourglass to go away and my desktop to come up. Why does this happen? How can I fix it?

Second, I also installed DirectX 8.0a (provided on the installation CD). But when I try to run something with Direct3D (D2X, Unreal Tournament - Game of the Year Edition), I get a screen full of nothing (or flickering, in the case of UT-GoTY). Sure, I could use software rendering, but (unless I'm mistaken), that has little to do with my video card, and more with my CPU. I could have done this with my Voodoo3. How can I get Direct3D to work so I can actually see what this card can do?

All the reviews say this card is awesome, especially for the price. I'd love to see for myself, if I could get it to work.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
