Prophet 2 Geforce 2 gts card and Quake 3?

I got a hercules prophet 2 gts 64mb video card and was wondering why the sky in quake 3 looked so terrible?
Anyone experience this with any other geforce cards?

s3tc texture compression turn it off and the sky wil be fine

go to the q3 console. if you are using Q3 version 1.25 type "/r_ext_compressed_textures 0", otherwise it should be "/r_ext_compress_textures 0". hope that helps.

search for compress_textures in q3config.cfg and set it to 0.
