Proper way to swap Pocket PC to sync with a new PC?

Is there a proper way to swap over the syncing of a Pocket PC to a new or different PC from an old one for the same user. This is to be syncing with the new PC primarily of course. I have just tried swaping it over before and that gives things a bit of trouble when connecting to the new PC.

I'm confused by your post. When you first sync a Pocket PC with a new computer, it will ask you if you want to set up a new partnership. If you only have one partnership on the Pocket PC, you may add the new parternship. If you allready have two partnerships on the Pocket PC you will have to delete one in order to set up the new partnership. Once the partnership is established, your Pocket PC will synchronize with the new computer.

I have synced up a Pocket PC over from and old to a new PC before and it usually creates duplicates of items. I don't want to loose the items on the Pocket PC, but I don't want to create duplicate items on the users Exchange server account either after syncing.

Yep, ActiveSync loves to make duplicate items. I've got more than 500 contacts on my destktop PCs so I feel you. However, if you're moving over to a new PC, you won't have any items in Outlook so duplicates shouldn't be a problem.

If on the other hand you already have items in Outlook on the new PC but you're confident that your Pocket PC already has those items, I've found its alot more efficient just to delete every item using "select all" and "delete" in Outlook before my first synchronization rather than spending the time hunting for duplicates after synchronization is complete.
