I'm writing a short story for my English class and I need to know the right way to address different religious figures (ie, priest = father). If anyone could fill me in on the proper titles for those of, let's say:

Judaism
Islam
Hinduism
Buddhism

Those are the major religions that I'm thinking of including. If anyone knows of any others, don't hesitate to write them down. And if anyone wants, I'll post the story here when I'm done with it (should be 1-2 pages in a word doc).

Charlatan
Fraud
Deceiver
Pagan

At least thats what I recently heard a Baptist minister refer to them as.

Are there specific ways to address the different figures? Like I said, you would call a priest "father". Is there something similar for the other religions, or should I just say "sir"?

I ask because in the story a guy will be walking around talking to the different figures, addressing them respectfully.

I think addressing them by the titles themselves should be good enough because salutations like "sir" are specific to languages and these figures could be of any race/language/ethnicity, except maybe the Rabbi.
