Anyone know what is wrong with this read out? I did a sisoft sandra readout on my voltage and a friend of mine says my -12 volt voltage is waay off. he said i might have a short in my power supply. He also said that this could short out my motherboard. I have a EPoX 8KHA+ with a 300W L&K. I had an ASUS about a week ago and it stopped booting up. The repair guy said the bios or something had been flashed out or something like that. Anyway, I dont think my power supply has a short in it. I just bought this one a week ago. My other power supply im using in another system. And it also seems fine.

Any other explanation for this read out. And is it truly going to short out my motherboard?? I have know idea what this readout is saying. Can someone help me?? Could it be my wall outlet in my bedroom? My CPU also seems to run at about 94F idle and 105F to 107F under a load. Is this normal? Any relation? Please see readout below.

< Voltage Sensor(s) >
CPU Core Voltage: 1.78V
+3.3V Voltage: 1.52V
+5V Voltage: 4.87V
+12V Voltage: 11.98V
-12V Voltage: 2.04V
-5V Voltage: 0.58V
+5V Standby Voltage: 4.78V
Battery Voltage: 3.07V

Thanks for any help for those who know about this.

Probably a glitch in Sandra. What does your BIOS or the utility that came with your mobo say? If those results are truly accurate, then yes the -12 and -5 are way off--luckily those voltages are seldom used.

Do you have the latest version of Sandra? I highly doubt you're computer would even boot up properly with the voltage you've read-off. When you boot up hit del key. You'll get into a BIOS menu. Look in each one of the menu. Voltage readouts are usually provided in one of 'em and this is the reading you can trust.

Zepper and Jerboi;

Thank you both for your input. Yes, I went into my BIOS and found these readings below...

Curr System Temp: 25c/77f

Curr CPU Temp: 39c/102F

Curr CPU Fan Speed: 8437/RPM

Curr Chassis Fan Speed: 3375/RPM

Vcore: 1.79v

Vagp: 1.52v

+5v: 4.86v

+12v: 11.91v

Vio: 3.29v

Vdimm: 2.64v

VBAT (v): 3.08v

5VSB (v): 5.34v

I did not see any readings for the -12 or -5 voltages in my BIOS.

Im starting to get a little concerned. I love this EpoX 8KHA+. I dont want to hurt it.

Its your power supply, are you overclocking? I had the same problem with an Enermax 350w changed to an Antec 400w problem went away

Well, I only have 3 drives right now. CD ROM, HDD and a 3 1/2 inch floppy. A 400 WATT is overkill for me. My only other upgrade will be to add a CDRW drive. The 300WATT should be sufficient for me. By the way, Im using an L&K 300W supply. AMD recommended it for their AMD Athlon 1.2G that I use. Also, im using it at the 1.2g level. Not overlocked. I do have an ANTEC 300Watter, I use in another system though.

Do you think i should check the readings on it and see if they are similiar??

Thanks for your help and advice SnowPunk 98!

Have you tried useing a tester on one of the molex connectors itself? Personnelly I dont trust software to give me exact read outs.

Actually Jen, thats a good idea! My friend also recommended that to me earlier today. I am going to try it and see what happens.

Thanks
