So I started eating healthier on April 8th. Whole grain foods, no sodas or candy, eating more often, light to moderate exercise, etc.

I've lost about 15 pounds, and I have a lot of energy....

At 6am. Unfortunately I work the night shift. :p

My old routine of eating a ton of sugar every few hours to stay awake doesn't meet my diet plans and since I'm a complete and total morning person (I'm the guy dancing and singing at 630am), this whole working until 1145pm thing is not working for me. I came in early today and I had to leave at 615pm becaue I was so exhausted. I've been working crazy hours all of my life. I fsking *crave* the day shift. I'm ready to jab a fork into my brain to keep from having to work nights. I told my supervisor not to give me a raise this year (not to brag, but I do a good job and know my work inside and out) or even to give me a pay cut, but they have no one else to be night shift supervisor.

To make matters worse, my manager is out sick and will be for quite some time. I drop hints quite a bit, but I'd feel really bad about going in and demanding a shift change. I'm usually 100% about what's best for the project, to the point that I'd do almost anything, but I'm going freaking nuts here. I don't know how much longer I can take it.

What would you do? Go back to putting yourself in a sugar coma to get through the night? Demand the day shift no matter what? Bash my head into a wall until I don't care about anything?

Try eating fruit every few hours in place of what you were eating before. If you crave really sweet stuff have some peaches or pineapple.
