If this is indeed a repost then my response is this

I've seen the videos of our troops running over cars with their tanks and shooting enemy combatants in the head and laughing about it but I never seem to catch this side of things so I thought I'd contribute this to counter the negative posts about what our troops are doing there :beer: Regardless of your personal politics this should be one thing we Americans can all agree on.
 
Well I was wrong, evidently we can't even agree on this 🙁 How a short tribute to our soldiers can lose it's appeal causes me to speculate there are some very jaded and bitter folk around here....
 
Doesnt matter who you hate supporting the troops is important, we dont want to happen to them what happend to the veitnam vets, americans were sick then and i hope we've grown up.

I have read this so many times and i have this to say about it.

SOME of the American soldiers in the Vietnam war SHOULD have been tried, convicted and hung for their actions.

As it is, those committing horrendous acts walk free and drag the rest of the soldiers throught the dirt.

Until those who are guilty are punished, it continues to be a black mark in the history of the US.

 
None of the troops coming home deserved to be spit on and ridiculed.
None of the hippies here knew who did what anyway. What you are saying is horse crap and you know it. I am able to seperate the "bad" soldiers from the "good", im sorry you can't.

I agree, but some of them deserved to be prosecuted for their crimes against humanity, just like all other criminals of war.
 
Innocent until proven guilty, and why not let them off by "reason of insanity" like everyone else. I think its more important we prevent more travasties, even if we dont get ALL the criminals.

"like everyone else"? exactly WHO are you referring to? AFAIK lots of people from many parts of the world have been tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity, but not ONE single American soldier.

It's real hard to prove someone guilty if they are not even tried for their actions.

If there is no punishment, why would they worry about it?

look it's good that someone use photoshop to change that. But your govt. doesn't give a fvck about people rights in other regions in the world. There is only interest in every war except WWII

If you honestly believe that the US went to war with Iraq because they wanted the Iraqis to be free, using the WMD lie as a cover, then i have no hope for you.

I think that supporting the troops is a noble thing, you are ex military, aren't you? Actually so am i, NATO officer.
 
Liberals hate America, no matter what we do they will always hate this fine country. They hate flag wavers, they hate abortion opponents, and they hate all religions except Islam, because Islam is the only religion that is granted a free pass. I had a feeling a lot of the people here wouldn?t support the troops no matter what. There is just too much hate.

Nothing wrong with getting oil out of the country... my SUV loves Iraqi oil.
