This is great news! Now we just need to find that pesky gene that causes homosexuality, so expecting parents can have it removed.
That way, the only children who might be born homosexual, are those whose parents couldn't afford to modify their childrens genetic makeup.
So homosexuality won't necessarily die out, but it will be more prevalent in low income families. Homosexuals will then truely become ostracized. None of that pansy wansy "Gay Bashing" crap. No no that just won't do anymore.
I say we just have taxpayers pay for the "gay gene" removal. After all, it is benefitting society.

My belief is that heterosexual society doesn't deserve people like us in the first place. Maybe it would be for the best.

So many important figures in history were homosexual. Such an impact on the world.
I think it's hard for people to realize what they have until it's gone.
Who will they put down, bash, and blame things on when we are gone? Will the world become one great big ball of harmony and happiness? If it's all genetics, and we were all created by God, what new excuses will we hear from the religious right on how such a thing could happen?

Heterosexuals don't believe that homosexuals could have anything positive or unique to offer society. They're too used to thinking of homosexuality as a burden, disease, genetic defect, etc.

We don't think you have nothing to offer, we think being gay doesn't give you anything more to offer than otherwise equivalent heterosexual. I'm sure you can rattle off all the significant gays in history, the fact remains that EVERYTHING ELSE was done by heterosexuals. Does that make the gay contributions any less important? Of course not. But with enough people doing productive things it's inevitable that some will be gay.

That is truly equal treatment.

My point was not to say that homosexuals are any better than anyone else. We are not. The point I was trying to make was if we start modifying the genetic makeup of the future to keep our children from being gay, what will we lose out on?
May'be nothing. May'be everything.

That's like saying an introvert doesn't have anything more to offer than an extrovert. Actually, introverts and extroverts are different in some pretty fundamental ways, and hence have different things to offer. Another analogy would be to say a male doesn't have anything more to offer than a female. An equally absurd comment. If you think the only different between gays and straights is the gender they prefer to fvck, then you would be wrong.

If we can ever find the "stupid" gene, that should take care of that little defect.

There is no gene for that.

You'd have to start removing souls and human conscience.

May'be nothing. May'be everything.

I'd predict a gradual increase in aggressiveness, war, bad clothes, poor interior design, and a decline in beautiful things, fashion, taste, co-operation, good music.

Actually, IQ (an approximate measure of a certain form of intelligence) is very much determined by genetics. It's one of the few personality traits we know with certainty is heavily influenced by genetics. It should be possible, eventually, to determine genes which lead to stupidity versus intelligence.

That's stupid. I know a gay guy who pretty much acts like a "normal" guy and hates the "gay sterotype" that you just mentioned.

Yeah, "straight acting" gay guys hating the gay stereotype is the ultimate in homophobia. :disgust: I really can't stand assholes like that.

And yeah, there is a spectrum of "types" of gay men. I think we will find (eventually) that there are different biological pathways to homosexuality, producing different sub-types of homosexuals.

So by that last statement you're essentially saying that homosexuals are, or will be, responsible for holding this planet together? Wow. You do believe that your lifestyle is superior.
