We got at least four! :p

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpi26A9hbC4

Actually we currently have 127 Snow Leopards: 95 upgraded Leopard 2A4s (original L-44 gun kept but with upgraded firing control, major armour upgrade and redesigned turret with increased protection), 12 Pz87 (basically 2A4s also) acquired from Switzerland for conversion to specialty vehicles and 20 2A6CANs (upgraded 2A6Ms, with L-55 gun). We kept the 2A6CANs after leasing them for use in Afghanistan and sent back 20 2A6-NLs we got from The Netherlands to Germany in return)!:ninja:

Strangely enough, we're moving a bunch of them close to the border (video says Edmonton, that's disinformation to deceive the Yanks). I wonder why...

Not sure how many Leopard C2s are still in function though. Those have served us well too. :)

Little video about the Wainwright training ground where we trained our troops for the Afghanistan landscape.

I'm not too versed on Canadian foreign policy, but do you folks have any real enemies in the world?

Canada is an active participant in NATO, so NATO's enemies would be Canada's enemies.

Is that actually true, though? I don't see Russia posturing up against Canada's interests. Most of the middle east, including stateless terrorists, seem to leave Canada alone. I don't see Canada taking any reprisals for past NATO operations. Canadians abroad seem to be treated pretty well.

HAHA, you leased your MBT's, that's hilarious!

Meanwhile, the U.S. Army has an inventory of approximately 7,940 M1 Abrams of varying models, and the U.S.M.C. has 403 M1A1s.

Don't fuck with us, eh.

You need to look at a map.:colbert:

Why? Maybe airspace is a concern, but Canada has only one land neighbor - the US.

I don't see the threat from Greenland's 1-ship navy being deterred by your vast tank armada. And I'm not so sure Russia coming across the polar ice sheet is the greatest tactical strategy.

I love Canada! But you have to travel to pick your fights.

The U.S. is NATO's figurehead and the nation that generally commits the largest number of forces to NATO-led operations. As such, we tend to be a magnet for criticism that would be more accurately levied against NATO as a whole.

That, and a lot of people are jealous of the US's economic success, military strength, and our overall awesomeness. Canada, well... not so much. Sorry guys :awe:

You'd think Russia would know better than to try riding elephants across the polar ice sheet?

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to make this an anti-American piss fest. I'm American and proud of this country. I was genuinely interested in knowing if Canada had any actual enemies in the world. I figure we provide enough of a distraction.

It's so our A10's can practice on them. That should be enough for 30 or 40 minutes worth of shootin'.

Dam, I'm thinking that they are moving the tanks to the border cause they are pissed about the NHL lockout.

Sadly the M1 is a 30 year old design that is in need of a replacement. Just too many of them to make a replacement a simple matter.

It was however such an advanced design and so far ahead of its time that even 30 years later it's a capable MBT that is only marginally behind newer tanks that our allies have in the field. Unless we start fighting England and Germany we're not going to run into somebody with a better tank and even then, there's a certain quality to massive quantity. 100 M1A1/A2 is better than 75 Leopards or Challengers.

Russia is a big threat they have been building arctic bases or opening old closed ones and increased their presence in the Arctic. In the next 5 to 10 turns Canada could expect an attack. :ninja:
