How else do you get a cold in the summer in the South? Especially one so miserable.

I've had a sore throat, post-nasal drip, cough, etc. since Monday. It shows no signs of letting up, and the cough is actually getting worse. At least the headaches and photosensitivity stopped by Wednesday. It also has had a tendency to wake me up really early and make it impossible for me to get back to sleep. Like, 7AM this morning (when I didn't get to sleep until around 2 last night).

No fever, though.
 
It's not God's fault that you touched something that was contaminated with some viral strain and then you touched your eyes, nose or mouth.

You made yourself sick. Now go stand in front of a mirror and deride yourself in a horrible, cruel manner.
 
i agree... god is a sob... he has a personal vendetta against me this week...

Do you recon if everyone stayed home and isolated themselves for a two weeks that the common cold would simply vanish?

I really wouldn't mind the illness that much, if it weren't for the fact that I can't hardly hear out of one of my ears. It's annoying. And it switches. Yesterday it was my left. Today it's my right. It feels clogged. It's ringing. The ringing raises and lowers in pitch with my pulse. It's slowly driving me mad.
 
Marginally better this morning, throat doesn't hurt near as much, hearing's the same in both ears, but now I'm coughing up a lot of stuff. I think this is the last stages of whatever disease, so hopefully by tomorrow or monday I'll be better.
