Pronunciation - QATAR.

I've always said KA-TAR, but I've had a few people trying to tell me differently, lately.

Looks like Dictionary.com says Ka-tar, too.

Where the hell did "cutter" come from?

cutter, texas a&m has an engineering school there and some of them have come over here for a few weeks and they all call their country cutten.

It depends.

The American and British way is CUT-TAR.

The Arabic way is KUTH-UR.

I would imagine the Arabic way would be proper since they named it.

Its the souther drawl thing, very common here in Texas.
