What is the proper pronunciation of ATI's Radeon?

4: Ray-dee-un

I'll add your posts to the lineup, I never knew there were so many diffrent pronouciations.

I pronounce it the same way as happy #2. I guess if you're from england then you would probably pronounce it #4.

i doubt it is pronounced raid-on, since the cancer causing particulate "Radon" is pronounced that way. there is no way ATi would allow the Radeon to be pronounced like a cancer causing agent :D. by the way, i (and everyone i know) says "Ray-Dee-On". the spiel on ATi's site about the radeon8500 says "Ray-Dee-On"

I'm from the UK, and all my hardware mates and I pronounce it 'rad-E-on'

I pronounce it Raid-E-On, but I don't think that's the proper way. I recall seeing an explanation as to the proper pronounciation on the ATi site once... don't recall where though.

Yep that's the proper way. Goto ATi's 7500 spec site and view the Cycore 3d thing and click on the core
