🙁 *sad* that night is over but good thing i didnt miss out on that big night. @ 1st i said fuvk prom and was just going to stay home and kick it on the pc and have no life. Well, anyways it was fun dancing with my date and feeding each other grapes (fruits).

Whats the point of this thread?: For all the anandtechers who still has the chance for prom.... GO, GO, GO, GO, GO, GO! Have a blast and you will never everr forget it no matter how nerdy you are/arent.

Most overrated social gathering in the history of the world, and I went to mine. Had a date, had sex, and now it's totally out of sight and out of mind for me. I hate the fact that it's made out to be so obligatory that you go get dressed up and made to feel uncomfertable around friends and family, seriously I'd rather go bowling or see a movie then fuck my GF later that night. I hate dancing, hate socializing over loud music, and hate the formality of it all. Spending a lot of my hard earn bucks on it to doesn't sit well with me either, but hey I was young and stupid once too.

Proms are overrated... I went to both junior and senior prom...

it's basically a glorified event that's nothing more than a chance to dress up, get waited on, dance, and for some, drink afterwards. Nothing special.

yes I guess that could be it summed up but whats annoying about these ATOTers who say "oh its not worth it" is the fact they would likely be b!tching on the other end saying "I wish I went to my prom..." You don't know how things will turn out until you try, its better to know what it will be like then to think about it for the rest of your life saying, "what if...".
 
I didn't go to any of mine. Hell, I skipped everything even senior breakfast. No regrets. Although, for some reason, people think I'm anti-social.

Na, after graduation, you don't see most of the ppl at your high school again; and the friends you do hang out with just want to hang around while you all are together for the last time.
 
prom was awesome for me and i definately think everyone should go. but then again, im one of the more social/active types in school. still, most people have a great time imo.
