Promo packages to Toronto?

So I'm talking to my friend who lives there, and was speaking about TO to my parents early...anybody know exactly what current promotions and packages are being offered? He said that last week or weekend, the government was offering a $1 a night deal at hotels!? And my dad was talking about a package that included a nice hotel, Lion King and baseball tickets for $120CAD...that's ~$80USD!!

Anybody have more exact information? or know where to find it? I love Toronto, and w/ SARS supposedly contained, I'd risk going up there...hell, I have friends and family in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore, so I think I can face Toronto. 🙂

It's the RossMAN side of me (saving money) plus the brash young side of me (SARS? bah 😉) coming together. ^_^

You might want to ask Wduaqnug as IIRC, he was recently north of the border and didn't want to spend too much cash either, hope this helps 🙂

Some of the offers are gone I think, like the 1 dollar hotel rooms, but they have new ones coming out each week so you have to check it out from time to time.

doh, the Mirvish play and stay is sold out, they say...dat sucks.

But I really hope they do a tax free holiday...I plan on buying some Paradigms soon, and I'll wait a bit longer if I don't have to worry about the hassle of getting my taxes back at the border...

Damn! My dad was right! This is the package they were offering and man was it amazing. Those are classy hotels and classy restaurants...with a little baseball thrown in 😉 Too bad they're all sold out now, I'd love to visit for a day or so, since I haven't started working yet. Haven't been to Toronto since...MLK weekend. ^_^
