I am having difficulty getting my Ultra66's BIOS (Version 1.14 [Build 0728]) to load during POST of my:
ASUS P3V4X / Asustek System Controller / VIA Apollo Pro133A Chipset / Award ACPI BIOS / Revison 1005 m/b w Intel PIII 667MHz / 133MHz FSB CPU PC w 512MB SDRAM
(following successful loading of Ultra133 TX2's BIOS [Version 2.20.0.12]) and correctly detect a Western Digital Caviar WD205BA (66.6MB/s [Mode 4, Ultra ATA] capable) HDD, and, a Yamaha CRW8824EZ (33MB/s [Mode 2, E-IDE / ATAPI] capable) CD-R-RW Drive.
Both drives are configured as Masters and are by themselves - on the end connectors of shielded 80-wire Ultra66 (and greater) ATA IDE cables.
The WD205BA is connected to IDE1 of the Ultra66 and the CRW8824EZ is connected to IDE2 of the Ultra66.
The Ultra66 BIOS goes through a detection phase and then reports: "Ultra66 BIOS is not installed."
The Ultra66 is seen as a SCSI and RAID controller by Win XP Pro as 'Promise Technology Inc. Ultra IDE Controller'
Driver Provider: Microsoft
Driver Date: 01-Jul-01
Driver Version: 5.1.2600.0
Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows XP Publisher
The 'Driver Details' are for 'ultra.sys' and are
Provider: Promise Technology, Inc.
File version: 1.43 (Build 0603)
The Ultra133 TX2 is seen as a SCSI and RAID controller by Win XP Pro as 'WinXP Promise Ultra133 TX2 (tm) IDE Controller'

Driver Date: 06-Nov-01
Driver Version: 2.0.0.29

Where do you suppose my difficulties lay?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide ... Promise's Tech Support response is pasted below:
"Hi
If you are running both ultra66 and ultra133 TX2 controllers in the same system than chance are you will run into bios or driver conflict. Promise only recommend and support one cards per system.
Thank you
