Promise Ultra 133 TX2 Card question.

I believe there's something wrong with my IDE connectors so I connect everything to my Promise card.
My question is. How do I boot it from CD rom ? Right now I have to set my first boot to SCSI in order for me to boot from the hard drive. How do I set it to have it boot from other devices ? I looked in the manual book and it doesn't say anything about it.

AFAIK you can't connect ATAPI devices like CD-ROMs or IDE Zip drives to these controllers. I may be wrong about that though... I guess you'll have to wait for other info if this can be done.

you can actually connect a zip drive & cdrom to the ultra133.
unfortunately, because you can't access its bios you won't be able to get your boot from your cdrom!

What happens when you set CDROM as the first boot option in BIOS (before SCSI or anything else)? I have a U100 TX2, but I only use it for hard drives.

I set first, second , third and fourth to SCSIS and it still boot from Hard drive. I guess it looks for the device that has operating system. I thought may be there something that I can bypass that by pressing certain key.
