promise raid66 and raid100

will i have any problems switching 2 hard drives that were on the raid66 controller using raid 0 to the raid 100 controller...do i have to reformat and install everything over or can i just swap out controllers....thanks

Nope, no reformat, no problems.

can anyone confirm this just to make sure...have a lot of stuff on my drives and don't want to lose it

The ATA/IDE specs should only affect bandwidth. You probably won't get a noticeable speed improvement, but I highly doubt it would hurt. I have had to install a new firmware into a promise controller to make it work once. That is possibly the biggest problem you could run into.
