In the installation setup, where u have to push F6 to load the mass stoarge controller, i cant load the drivers. i downloaded the win2k promise drivers and loaded them on to a floppy disk. when the setup tries to read it, it says invalid file format or something liek that...

thanks.

install that file on to a floppy disk , and then exe. that file and it should inflate all the files onto the floppy for you , then when you get to F6 it should find the correct driver for the promise card

I tried installing this yesterday F6 does not load the drivers, wait till I think where it says press "S" key. There be a prompt during the installation if you want to load drivers from a floppy.

Gazza is on the right track as others are aware. You can't have the files in a folder, they have to be exposed. Specifically the oemsetup.txt file if I remember correctly. Otherwise it does not know where to look for them. It wont let you browse the folders.

I too had problems with the downloaded Promise drivers. I used the drivers off of the cd and exe.'d them onto a floppy. Worked fine.
