Promise ATA133 controller any good?

My cousin is wanting to add a few more hard drives to his setup, but the basic IDE ports on his m/b are all used up. I see the Promise Ultra TX2 ATA133 controller card everywhere..it's about $30'ish, supports up to four devices. Is this a good option, or is there something better?

Thanks for any info.

Works fine and Promise has been around since the 386 processor days. I have a TX2 in my FLAC music server running 2 Maxtor 250 GB drives with zero problems.

if you look around when buying a large western digital or maxtor HD, they come with those cards now. the promise one usually is packaged in the western digital ones and maxtor has their own rebadged version of it packaged with their HDs.
