Promise 66 controller/ Monitor Squeal

I have a udma 66 hd, is it worth getting a Ultra ATA/66 PCI controller card? and second question,
I have a 17" CTX monitor and every once and awhile It has a high pitched squeal. If I whack the monitor pretty hard, the squeal goes away. Anyone have a problem like this or know how I can fix it? Thanks.

I run w2k, and buying a Promise was a huge mistake. Never got it to work right, trashed my system, ended up doing a full reinstall.

Actually, I think that the problem was just too many PCI cards so good luck with that sh**.
