I have a Asus A8V Deluxe Motherboard with the following....
4 x 200GB Seagate SATA (RAID 5)
1 x 80GB WD PATA
1 x NEC DVD+-RW
1 x 120GB PATA
2 x 250GB SATA (RAID 1)
1 x 200GB SATA (Main Drive)
This is just the hard drives...
I also have the following add-in cards....
1 x USB card
1 x SATA RAID 5 card
1 x Asus Wireless AP card
1 x ATI Radeon 9600 XT 128MB
1 x PATA Card
Mobo: Asus A8V Deluxe
Cpu: Athlon 64 3500+
Ram: 4 x 512MB Crucial (2GB total)
PSU: Dual ( 1 x 450W ) ( 1 x 480W )
PSU Load: 480W Antec = RAID5 array only, 450W = everything else.
And a few fans in the case....
Can someone tell assist me in figuring out why the Promise controller does not work after I added the RAID5 controller? I added it and the RAID1 array off the Promise controller no longer even shows up. The card shows up in device manager, but the drives do not, no matter what drivers I use. Also on bootup it no longer shows the bootup screen for the Promise chip?! What's up with that? It doesn't show it in BIOS setup either, but it did before.
Thanks in Advance!
Jesse
