Hey Prometeus, looking foward to your reviews...hope the transition is going smothly...I tried starting a DFI thread, but there wasn't a huge responce. I was thinking of waiting to upgrade till this fall when Prescott is released( if AMD ever gets off its' arse and releases its' 64 bit chip...) and the dust settles about compatibility issues with current P4 boards. I also understand that DFI will be releasing a DFI 875 Pro II board in September, might be bad timing on DFI's part if you ask me, seems they would do better to get it out the door now before AMD and Intel release their newest line of chips. Anyhow, quit loafing and get to work!!! LOL! Hope to hear from you soon...

Yup, Wesley's first article should be online within days. Hopefully we've already setup a subscriber account for him.

Hey Evan....Don't think for a moment your taking back seat to prometheus...I hold both of your opinions dearly. Prometheus has his faults as we all do...but I think both of you can do some awesome research on mobos that the rest of us can't. I can't wait for the ball to start rolling. My only wish is that the owner of the rag gives you BOTH free reign when it comes to reviews. Honesty is the best policy. That might not get the bills paid, but at least no one will ever be able to say your opinion was paid for. I think both of you will keep eachother honest as long as Anand Shimpi doesn't impose vendor requests...(we all know what I mean.) Let the "chips" fall where they may! While we're on that note, what's up with the cookies(as if I had to ask...) Evan Lieb, you'll ALWAYS be one tuff act to follow(you have a grass roots touch that is hard to replicate, you care for the newbie...I can almost hear the "aws" now...LOL!) This might end up being the site to be at, provided it isn't, "bought and paid for..." The future's so bright I gotta wear....

You're not missing much, I mean ABX went into the toilet and isn't coming out. The only forum in existence where being a "respected member" means anything is Storagereview.

Huh? What's wrong with ABXZone and why is Storage Review better?

ABX is your typical kiddie forum where people think 3DMark and Sandra are important, and that RAID 0 improves performance(AT, incidentally, has more or less avoided that fate through heavy moderation and some excellent members keeping things straight). It was great back when it was CUSL2.com, but the floodgates opened and diluted the content. SR is a great resource, mainly due to the large number of people there who are actually in IT. Not the most traffic, but you will almost always get the RIGHT answer. Note that none of this is in regards to the new AT family member, of whom I have no opinion.

Jaeger66...typical kiddie forum? Don't think so bro...there's been alot of decent information and bios mods that have come out of that site. Sure, benchmarks aren't everything but at least it's a base, it's a starting point...run your mouth all you want, every site has it's faults including storagereview.com. I'll be lurking the forums now just to see how wonderful it is, maybe I'll be thanking you in the near future for the link, or maybe it will just re-affirm my belief that azzholes are like opinions...everyones got one! You can come from many positions in life, arrogance is never appreciated. If you have knowledge share it, if you flaunt it nobody cares. Respect is earned not taken, if you are willing to help those less capable you have my respect. I must admit, your slander of ABX wasn't helpful or necessary. This thread was to welcome a new motherboard editor at THIS site, of whom you admitted to know nothing of. If you wish to bad mouth ABX then by all means start your own ABX bashing thread...

Thanks to all of you for the welcome to Anandtech. There are several of my reviews in the works to be posted, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you think.

For Jaegger66, I can only say with the kind of welcome you give, you must not think much of very many people. That's really quite sad.

Not every one is an expert...abx has far more noobies than AT and we have to cater to them.
If your willing to read you will notice lots of good content, with new boards generating a huge amount of traffic.Overclockers.com even said abxzone was the best place to see what was going on with i875 when it was first launched, and they have their own huge forum!!

I feel your comments about abxzone were uncalled for, remember its another forum..they all can not be the same!

Prometheus, Bigtoe, just ignore jaeger66; he's being his usual trollish self.

ABX is a nice place, and both of you have done great work.
