Prometeia question

I'm planning on getting one of those Prometeia babies... I only have one question: There's two flavours; Prometeia Mach II Standard and Prometeia Mach II GT. These two differ about ?100,-, which, in all honesty, is a lot for me. Is that ?100,- difference really worth it? Also, what exactly is the difference between R404a (Prometeia Mach II GT's cooling solution) and R134a (Prometeia Mach II Standard's cooling solution)?

Thanks in advance.

Me neither, I'm still ?400,- short. But when I have the money, I want to buy one instantly. I just want to know which one :).

Ow :(. Does anyone at least know if these babies come with a manual -since I don't know sh1t about insulating the damn mobo so it won't condensate- ?

Check the forums at extremeoverclocking.com and xtremesystems.org. They have loads of threads on vapor phase-change cooling.

VR-Zone.com has a great walkthrough on how to insulate a motherboard.

Thanks! But, then again, is it really useful with an out-of-the-box phase-change unit?

Yes, both the Vapochill and Prometeia come with their own manual and other accessories. It's a high-end product, and neither of the manufacturers skimp on the details. You get what you pay for, and then some.

Are these things something you can really use day to day? And do they work long term? And last, is it really worth $900 to get a better overclock?

I do know that they are worth it, but I still don't know if I should splurge the ?100,- , or if I should spend it on something else...

Well, I don't really have specs (yet). I'm just looking around for cooling solutions, then, when the time is ripe (AKA, I'm rich enough), I'll look for a mobo (one that fits in my case, this time) and a processor. I already have memory, HD's and a graphics card. OEM memory, Western Digital 200 GB and 40 GB drive and a Club-3D Radeon 9600 Pro (256 MB), respectively. I know they suck, but I won't use my system (primarily) for gaming.
