Prometeia Problem?

Hello, I have a question regarding my prometeia. The top of the CPU block I have some condensation forming and wondering if this is normal from the other users that have experience with this case. I know people will see the word condensation and immediately tell me its bad for the computer so I'm trying to see if I can get some replies from others who use this cooling method. It forms around the hose entering the block and eventually turns to ice crystals. (I already tried using seal string) I don't experience any PC problems, the machine runs like a dream. Lastely this machine is always on.

I run mine 24/7 with no condensation issues. I make sure that everything is sealed very well with the seal string. Have you checked the heating element to make sure it is working? Mine did not include any closed cell foam for the rear housing, so I cut and added a piece to fit the housing on top of the heating element. I also place a small piece inside of the socket before CPU installation as well as inside of the front housing in the area around the socket.

EDIT: With condensation on the outside of the hose, I would try wrapping some closed cell foam around the area and taping it. Also make sure that you are getting good case ventilation.

I have everthing sealed well with the string and I also received no foam for the back housing. I didn't add anything extra to the installation like you did and probably should of considered it. Would it cause condensation on the outside of the block? Where would I be able to pick up closed cell foam and what kind of tape are you referring to. I currently have seal string around the hose as previously stated and my case ventilation is v. good because I've been running the machine with the panel off.

EDIT: I'm only assuming that my heating element is functioning correctly

If it were my rig, I would immediately pop the cooling head off and see if there is ice forming around the socket. If so, I would check the heating element, and insulate the area better. If not, I would wrap the hose with closed cell foam and good duct tape. (I would use a black permanent marker to hide the silver duct tape color)

I had some closed cell foam around, and really do not know where to purchase any from right off.... Check some packing material that you may have...

EDIT: If you still have problems, contact Chip-Con to see what they suggest. It may be a major PITA, but you may need to RMA the unit...

update, I took off the cooling head and didn't find anything forming on the cpu or surrounding the socket. Clean as a whistle. So I cleaned everything up and redid the seal string and compound installation. The next thing on my list if the problem still occurs is to contact chip-con directly and see what they have to say about this situation.

Just put insulation on the back of the block, I think thats the only thing you can do really. Your house must be a little warmer than techno's thats all.

you can find closed cell foam in hard drive or mobo packing usually. Try to blow through it if no air comes out the other side than you found closed cell.

i went to home depot today and picked up some FoamSealR, its pink foam that you can't pass air through and it comes in a big roll. I would post pic but I don't know how. I'll post about the ouctome, hope it works ok. The worker suggested to try a drip tray or a dehumidifier.
