If I owned the Promedia 5.1 thx speakers and I wanted to get 5.1 sound out of my household sony dvd player. Could I take the left and right rca jack out of my dvd player to the line in of my sound blaster live 5.1 card and then play sound of movie it out the promedias? Would I get the full 5.1 experience.
Or is the only way you can get 5.1 sound out of a pc is by playing the actuall movie threw 5.1 powerdvd and then useing video out to the tv.
Any help would be great. Oh, my dvd player does not have a built in dts decoder.
