I'm from Inglewood/Joe Johnson in Nashville. I don't know of a girl from my high school that didn't lose her virginity in middle school. Also note, I said slutty girl. They just happened to all be slutty where I went. Also, the girls from the rich suburbs to the south would give it up to anyone from a metro school. All this from a conservative southern state. Interesting.

oooh burn. too bad about dress code... we we're known around school by most people and teachers as jokesters and whatnot, so it was all cool... we used to pull off stupid sh!t everyday... ahh hs, how i miss thee 😛

Never went to a HS dance except for prom. It wasn't aweful, but it was definitely not worth the money. The afterparty was much better AND cheaper than the actual prom.
 
my first prom sucked, my date asked my friend out while were were there and i drank alot of soda.

The next two were ok i went with my girlfriend and had a pretty good time. I'm not sure it was worth all the money, but as long as she had fun that's all that matters.
 
Prom is just another gimmick to rake in loads of money for 'memories'. Unless you have a group of friends going and plan a REALLY good time, it's not worth it. My girlfriend and I couldn't afford it and neither one of us really wanted to go. We went out on our own adventure/date that night and had a very memorable time without spending much money. 🙂
 
Is your date going to have short hair?

Do what I did, I went in a 1920's purple pinstripe zoot suit with fedora/feather and my date had a 20's flapper dress on. We swing danced during every song, people thought it was the funniest thing ever.

Just go to prom...I didn't really want to go at the time, friends pretty much forced me to go, I had an ok time is what I thought to myself that night. 2 years later, I am so glad I went and now that I think of it, it was awesome 🙂

Plus prom is the last chance YOU have to get laid in highschool...might as well try, neffing/porn at home isnt going to get you laid 😉

My standards for "going out" with a girl are pretty fvcked. Friend first, more later. Slow, but very fulfilling way of going about it. I just can't seem to care enough about how someone looks or their first impression to go "You're hot, lets go have dinner." Unfortunately, the girl that I had designs for and spent ~2yrs on decided that boinking a Mexican was more important than continuing to so much as speak to me. :thumbsdown: Oh well, since she met that douche, she turned into an evil b!tch anyway.

And the reserve girl that I'm FAIRLY comfortable with has a stealth boyfriend, as stated earlier in the thread. :thumbsdown:^2
 
I didnt go to my prom, and I don't regret it. I did however go to senior ball with my gf and to her junior prom.
 
I didn't go to my prom either. At the time I had no job (and therefore no money), and my dad had already made it clear I wasn't getting any cash from him, even on loan. I was new to my school (we moved prior to my senior year), so I didn't really care much anyway...until a really attractive girl asked me to go. I felt kinda dumb having to turn her down, but them's the breaks.

I don't regret it a bit.
 
Either don't go, or make a joke of it by going with a hooker or something.
Or, scrape past the dress code by wearing a blazer, and stash some cold cathodes under your jacket. Once you hit the dance floor, break 'em out and light up like a christmas tree.
