Prolonged blacks screens (like the monitor isn't getting any input) after gaming

I'm using DVI, a Dell 1800FP and a 9600SE with Omega Catalyst 6.1 drivers.

Any ideas what is wrong, after I play a game and exit back to the desktop I get a black screen and the words DVI-Power Saving Mode, like the monitor isn't getting any input.

The weird thing is, it only happens in DVI and not VGA, I have alternate dvi operational mode enabled in the drivers and reduce dvi frequency on hires displays disabled, when I have alternate dvi operation mode I get blacksouts DURING and after gaming. The problems also occure with RDF on hi res displays enabled.

I don't get why this is happening, I'm using 60hz and ATT to force 60hz into everygame, I've tried everything.

I'm gonna try my L90D+ to see if its a driver error or something else other than the monitor.

Try disabling AGP Fast Writes or bump your AGP speed down to AGP 4x. That's what fixed it for my VIA chipset and ATI Radeon AGP driver. But I only had a CRT at the time running VGA. Still try it I guess?
