Ever since i read the AT review on the thing, it has held much interest :). Ive finally decided i should buy one before something else comes out and i change my mind or wind up in the same state of indecision ;). Of course im interested in OCing the thing, but not too sure on a few things. Is it really worth it to buy DDR right now? And if I did, could i really expect to OC the FSB with DDR? I want to get a nice fast Tbird, maybe even 1.5 and unlock it. Haven't seen the prices much, but its time for me to buy a badly-needed new system and have fun with it. How would DDR compare to some nice, heavily-OCd hi-perf Mushkin SDR of some flavor? And while im at it, how far beyond specs can a 266 rated Tbird usually go when it comes to FSB?

Ive thought a little bit about getting the RAID version of the mobo, but im not sure if the benefits of RAID would be great enough to justify CPU usage, especially since my boot will be a Cheetah x15 running on my Adaptec 2940U2 anyway. This system will be my dedicated gaming system, and il turn my current P3-700 into a dedicated server of some sort :). So im hoping i can put my first system together using this mobo without many probs.

Heh, and the best part is that i usually do searches for best price when i buy computer stuff, but ive never really had to buy major components such as mobo and CPU! Not sure what a good place to go to is for reliability and price :(. If anyone can give me some suggestions here, im all ears!

If anyone can help me with my questions, or give tips, I would appreciate it a lot :). I started out in the HW forum way last year, and became a member of TeamAnandTech pretty quickly. Always a good experience here, this place is still the best :D. Finally time for me to build a new cow ;), want to get started ASAP. Thanks guys!
