I've recently got a HP DAT40x6i unit. (I'd ordered a DAT24x6i from my company's distributor but got this - I'd fitted it before I realized it, called the distributor and hey, they let me keep it for the same price - I'd call that a deal and a half)
At my company we have AIT drives for backups, and I bring the latest-but-one tapes from each server back home every Friday with me as required by our disaster recovery insurance. Since I run another business mainly from home and have the same insurance, I used to take my DDS3 tape from my previous backup drive, a HP DAT24i, to the office - and now I'd like to rotate my magazines on a weekly basis.
I've noticed a hassle in this however. Using Win2K Backup, I've noticed that I have to activate the Door Release within Removable Storage before I can remove the magazine using the Eject button.
Is there a way to bypass this? i.e. Eject the magazine when I press the Eject button?
