I know I'm not alone in this....

I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER FOR THE TI4200 TO COME OUT!!!! You hear me nVidia!?!?!

So, the question is, Prolink is first to hit the scene with a Ti4200. Usually, the first runs have problems and such, but also first run boards are also usually based off of nVidia's very good reference design. Prolink is offering a Ti4200 128MB version with ViVo; does anyone know what chip (Vivo) they are using? Philips? Conexant? I'd like to be able to display 1024x768 on my tv.

If you look at my rig, you'll see it's time to move on. YA, VOODOO! YA!!

From what I've seen so far, GF4's with ViVo use the phillips which only allows an output of 800X600. For 1024X768, you need to have the Conexant chip, but that one doesn't allow for Video Input...

I could be wrong of course, but from what I've seen, that's pretty much how it works... :p

Woo, I know this is hard to say...but follow these instructions:

  1. 1
Jump in the shower the sec you read this.
  1. 2
Turn the water to max, but along with this move that thing called a dial to the cold position until it can't go any further
  1. 3
Jump up and down screaming lots of profanity
  1. 4
Get out and look at your naked, shriveled self in the mirror.
  1. 5
While staring at your reflection repeat "I am beautiful, I am loved, I can wait 10 more days so I can get a ti4200 from a reputable dealer, and It'll be from a company I have heard of before"

If you follow the above five steps, you too, can become one of the many happy nvidia owners. :)

Damn you all!

I don't want to hear the voice of reason!! That would .. make too much sense..

I waited 4 years to upgrade, 10 more days may not kill me... right?

I was thinking about the cold shower method but so far the step-on-the-pinky-toe-until-it's-as-large-as-my-big-toe method is working ok.

Seriously though, is the 800x600 output actually ok or just really blurry? NTSC is only 640x480 anyway so I would expect some nastiness.

I'm definately gonna get one too man. Let's wait our 10 days and come back here in 3 months after we love what we've bought. Then we can read the problematic prolink posts. <------- tongue twister.
