Prolink 6600gt running great

My Prolink 6600gt runs like a charm. Had it for a few weeks now, and the only issue I have seen was some minor texture color-change in the Far Cry demo (when I killed someone on the beach, about 1 in 10 times the sand texture beneath them would turn purple; I think it's a driver issue and not the card itself).

From what I've seen on the temperature info, at idle it runs a bit hotter than the cards listed in the Anandtech 6600gt retail exploration article (48 degrees... that may be due to poor airflow in my over-stuffed Dell case). BUT, it seems to run cooler at load than the temps listed in that article. I haven't seen it register a temp higher than 58 degrees.

Just wanted to post this since I had not seen any reviews/info on the Prolink cards anywhere. I took a chance, and so far it hasn't bitten me in the ass. 🙂

lol big deal if its running a little hotter than average cards...as long as its playing games good thats what matters...and since the temperature of the card is just a little warmer than normal theres nothin 2 worry

I got it from Newegg for about $165, with no rebates to hassle with. I think the Chaintech at Zip Zoom Fly is now about the same price.

also, I checked temps this weekend.... after a couple of hours of DCFinal at 1200x1600 with 4xAF, it was running at 53 degrees.

And the ambient temp in my case is fairly high, so that's why it has a higher idle temp. But the stock cooler on it seems to be a good one (with no vacuum-cleaner fan whine).
