As sort of a "sibling" to this thread, I thought it might be useful to put together a list of projects that will work with Intel HD graphics for those of us that may have access to computers with newer CPUs (Ivy Bridge or newer) without dedicated graphics since the official GPU support page says that Intel OpenCL is supported, only lists AMD and Nvidia projects.

This is what I have been able to find so far.

Projects with official Intel OpenCL supported apps:
Collatz Conjecture
Einstein@home
Seti@Home
Seti Beta (Astropulse only)

May work by using a modified config file to 'trick' the app:
PrimeGrid

I just installed a Win7 64-bit SP1 installation, and BOINC, and Collatz, and I'm trying to get it to work with the Intel iGPU.

I had it working on my i3-6100, and I forget how I did it.

I've tried a number of different Intel video drivers, all of the ones I've tried do "Computation Error" immediately.

I wonder if I need to install the Intel OpenCL SDK too, besides just the driver package?

Or is there some sort of incompatibility between the newest BOINC on the web site, and Collatz?

Edit: I just tried changing BOINC to version 7.4.27, and it still doesn't work.

Last I knew, Gerasim had an IGPU application. I have been absent from that project for a while though.

And of course Albert

Restart BOINC
Go to Advanced
Go to Event Log Diagnostics
Set coproc_debug
Go to Event Log
Read detailed error messages

The only thing I see is the absent output file, which was probably caused by the error. Sorry, I don't have any more ideas.

Found this, seems to be describing the same problem.

I've got my BOINC client set to "No new WUs" for Collatz, then I'm going to detach, un-install, and try starting fresh.

http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/forum_thread.php?id=1355

Edit: They mention installing the VC Runtime from MS, which is linked from the home page of the project. I did that, and now the iGPU WUs seem to be computing! Sucess!

For any windows install you need Visual Studio 2012 C++ runtime.
Be sure to install both the 32 and 64 bit versions because there are 32 and 64 bit WU's.
