My goal is to find some "used" or "refurbished" gear for a project under a shoestring budget, any help would be great
Purpose of gear: To conduct person to camera interviews, capture footage with external mic for background and B roll clips, action photography for sequencing, night photography of the stars, slow motion sequences, edited on the fly on location, produced and published on location, locations continuously changing

Camera???? (All I know is it can be older but must record to other then DV tape, memory card preferrable, must be able to slow down the video, and must be able to do night longer shutters, it also must have an external audio plug as well as a hot shoe (hot or cold shoe is flexible as the items will not be powered by the shoe just held there) I would also prefer it not be a full DSLR, WEIGHT is a huge consideration for this project, I do not need multiple lens , The High end P&S Cameras will work for my use as long as the video is hd! I should also mention that this camera will be used for video AND photos, so while a good video camera does good video, it rarely does good video, so I know I am looking for something that shoots good photos with a video addon

I am sure I left something Out, but As you can see I have mostly an idea, My biggest hangup is the camera, I had my eye on a Lumix FZ200 but someone sniped it from me, so I am open to suggestions. ON ALL Equipment I do not mind if it is scratch and dent since its going to take one helluva beating anyway, I got my laptop for 600 bucks off retail because it had a few scratches on the case and a small dent in the metal, big deal!
