Hi guys!
I finished testing the NES pc and I've now moved onto my Bartop MAME cabinet. The PC features a 500gb Green HDD, 400w PSU, AMD 64 x2 4200+ 939 with 2gb RAM and a 8800GT. I can run everything under Playstation (n64 runs fine). To control the unit I use an X-arcade controller and plan on elaborately hooking up different controllers so each game played uses the right controller if it's reasonably cheap. One picture because I'm in class but more to come when I'm home and I'll take NES PC pictures since I've been so busy. I had to force myself to post this or else I'm lazy and wouldn't post more pictures with my current schedule.
The amount of space used on the HDD is horrifying (upwards of 460gb). We used zero templates and did this in a impromptu way; we only have the X-arcade ($140) and 10$ of black vinyl in the project so far because we used materials we salvaged from our local recycling facility including every PC part but PSU (Big Thanks to Valley Recycling in San Jose!). The monitor was toast and I repaired that; free 22" 1680 monitor. Speaking of which if you have any projects you think would be unique (PC inside items, Custom PCs, electrical projects, etc) please let me know as I have access to whatever people throw out 😀
More pictures taken outside coming later today. P.S. I have a full laptop and don't feel like making a desk PC. Can anyone think of something to put it in? I'd do an SNES but I don't think I have one in my collection.
I have made your link into a direct image tag to avoid redirect.
