Progressive Scan DVD. Will it work with my TV?

Hi. I have a Sony Wega TV model KV-36FV15 which has 1 component video in connection. I was wondering if my TV would be able to display a progressive scan signal. Also what DVD player would you recommend that has this feature if the question above is answered yes.
