Those rates are per 6 months. If I had a clean driving record, it'd be $900. Sigh...

Still, saving over $100/month is good :)

We've had Mercury for years. Some say they aren't the best for customer service, but we've dealt with our independent agent for a long time.

IMO the rates are outstanding, at least compared to what others are paying.

When you finish your EE/CS degree, show them proof, and you'll get a group discount for your profession applicable to the entire policy. I doubt it's any more than 5% off but every bit helps!
