Programs to install on secondary hard drive?

I am installing my Seagate and am in the process of moving apps, programs, music etc. I know I will have to reinstall a few programs. Are there anythings I should keep on the Primary drive besides OS and games? I would like to move every program I own to the Seagate, but know some may be needed on the C drive to run better. How will this affect my Start> Program Folder?

I set my Seagate with 3 partitions Music, Photos, Storage (60/40/100).
