UE3 games.

In fact, i've not found a single game that utilizes quads as well as UT3.

Crysis barely uses 1.25 cores, if that.
Sup Com apparently does use quads well.

I know there are other games that utilize four cores, but i don't play 'em.

don't tell aigomorla that supreme commander doesn't use 4 cores 😉

It does use all 4, just not at 100%, I get roughly 15-20% higher useage with 4 cores(65-70%), occasionaly breaking 75%, while with my dual core it was maxed out.

are you on a very large map with tons of bots?

btw, assimilator, fsX= flight simulator 10.

Yes, large maps, with 6-8 players, on smaller maps the cpu usage still generaly breaks 50%.

It will be interesting to see if the tri-cores use all 3 cores near peak on SC...

Hey, don't forget to include Seventeenorbust.com . The SB client will use as many cores as it is configured for. ("sobsvc -p:<cores>")

It will. It supposedly uses 3.25-3.5 cores, on large maps with lots of bots, etc.

Exact Audio Copy can spin off -n- threads for encoding as it rips tracks from a CD, so it can use quad core. It just won't be near 100% use with easy encoding formats like the FLAC I use on my A64 X2 music server.

I'll have to try it with MP3 and Ogg when my new Dell quad core arrives for work 🙂

lol, lazy git! 😛

Copy & paste this lot then 😉, I've gone through the thread & complied the updates.I'll only include one's that have actually been run on their PC or the makers website definitly says it does.

Real Apps

Acronis True Image (>95%)
Adobe encore 3 (90%)

Bench/DC

DPAD (~95%)
Seventeen or Bust

Games

FS X (SP1 ~90%)

Only a few updates as it turns out 😛
Other possibles/probables but no personal accounts, or makers websites to prove it or not close to 90-100% consistently are Halflife 2 Ep2, Supreme commander, Forged Alliance, UT3 & Neat Image.
