Programs open up then close

I just reinstalled my machine the other day and now I'm having problems with Kazaa, Warcraft 3, among other things. They open up fine for the first day or so, but now they just open for split second then close. War3 claims the CD is not in the drive even though I press play from the splash screen that pops up from the CD being inserted. I haven't installed anything odd, or any weird drivers. Any clues?

What Windows version are you running? Also, do you know exactly what you installed and/or changed since the first day when everything was working until now?
 
also check and see what programs are running. If you are using Kazaa, you very easily could have picked up a virus. If you have AV software, update it and run a full scan. If you dont, get it! There are some very cheap ones out there that work very well.
