Programs Not Reponding when trying to attach a file w/ Win2k?

Ok, so here's another issue..........

All of a sudden, no matter which program I'm in, if I go to attach a file (like if i'm prompted to use the drop down box to select the file's destination)...... that program ends up not responding and locks up on that screen, and Win2k won't "End task" it..... So it just sits there, not responding......


What could this be, and why all of a sudden?
