You can drag any open app there that you want.

I use mine for additional web browser windows, Outlook, and Copy and pasting between documents...

There is no need to use a second display as a static area for only specific apps.... It's flexible to your needs at any given moment.

So's Mine and I use it for e-mail, web notifications, and Puter Monitoring tool (ie Temps, Virus checker and Scanners). Plus if I want something permanately on Screen, then click it (icons) or drag it over to the larger Monitor when I work with it.

Thanks...It's 1 Power acoustic that I got from the FS/FT Forum and some of the Proggies I use for it are:
MMB5
HW Doctor
E-Mail Alerts
Messenger Alert
Virus Scanners
Soft Firewall Alerts
Downloads
Ghost Surf
Spybot and Adaware
Volume Controls
Sys Doctor
File Transfers
Playing MP3 Files
Among others...what I do is have them Pop up from the taskbar to that LCD Screen and still can run the Browsers and Games on my other LCD or CRT

I drag all of my tools for Photoshop and various Adobe and Macromedia apps to my secondary monitor. Not exactly what you were asking, but gawd I love dual-monitor...
