I'm finally learning how to type properly with about 95% of the keyboard. Doing a project for my C++ class, I decided, this awkward hand motion is too annoying. I'm going to learn which finger most comfortably presses the keys with the semicolon, paranthesis, brackets, etc. It's a little bit frustrating to get the keystrokes all into muscle memory, but it will be worth it considering all the projects I have to do in the future.

Funny thing is i've been using computers for over ten years but wasn't bothered by it enough to correct the awkward typing until now. Hell, I didn't even realize I'm not supposed to type 't' with my right hand until I got a "natural" keyboard. heh.

yea, that would be perfect, except the dvorak layout actually moves semicolons and brackets *further* away from the home row.

Yeah, Dvorak works well for secrataries and the such, but for a CS major it makes life more difficult then it needs to be :)

Wow, agreeing a lot with GoPunk tonight:)
