I got this Acer AL2223W 22" for christmas.. but the brightness and/or everything else is wayyy off, and im way to stupid to just eyeball everything. I remember using a program before that would be like "adjust your brightness untill you can barely see this guy". Where can i find another program like this? thanks.

If you end up finding one, let me know. I'm going to reconfigure my Acer AL2216 when it gets back. I'm sending it away to the guy I bought it off (it's got a stuck/dead pixel) and hoping he'll send me a new unit, and if not.. looks like I'm back on the prowl for a different 22'' WS. Possibly that one popping up on Dell Canada.. looks nice, and uses the same panel - can't really go wrong for $329 CAD.

I just ran this:

Monitor Calibration Wizard

and it seemed to do what you wanted it to. Google around a bit more for these types of programs and I am sure you can find exactly what you are looking for. I also know that THX DVDs have image calibration wizards as well.
