Program to edit/trim MIDI files?

I have a bunch of MIDI files that I wish to trim down for use as mobile phone ringtones.

I've tried a few, one of which (Coding Workshop Ringtone Converter) seemed promising, but still get failures when saving the trimmed MIDIs. Usually the file gets saved, but cannot be played by other players (corrupted data format or something).

Anyone know what's the best app for trimming MIDI files? There are some which need you to go down to the individual notes, but I'm hoping for a more user-friendly (select time frame then trim) operation.
