Program to check unburned DVD+Rs?

I bought a spindle of 50 Sony DVD+Rs and the first 7 errored. I can do data verification with Nero after a burn, and it always shows read errors.

Is there any programs that can scan a unburned DVD to see if it's got problems? I'm betting the entire spindle is bad, but maybe there are a few good DVDs in the spindle.

Check event viewer, I had an issue like this before and it turned out to be a bad hard drive.

Actually, I bought a 2nd spindle of the same Sony DVD+Rs from a different location, and those have been fine. The first spindle I ordered online or else I would have already taken them back.
